We went for Iridology health check by Diamond Interest yesterday at Parklane Mall. We paid $10 for the check.

What is Iridology?

Iridology is the scientific analysis of patterns and structures in the iris of the eye which locates areas and stages of inflammation throughout the body. The iris is the portion of the eye showing color. It reveals body constitution, inherent strengths and weaknesses, health levels, and transitions that take place in a person's body according to their way of life.

How does it work?

The complex iris is composed of hundreds of thousands of nerve endings which are connected by impulses to every tissue of the body through the brain and nervous system. The nerve fibers, or trabecula, respond specifically to tissue and organ conditions with a corresponding physiological reflex manifested in the iris as lesions and color variations. The iris chart, which is the result of many years of clinical observation and intensive research by Dr. Bernard Jensen and others, represents the basic placement of body organs and tissues similar to a map. An accurate iris analysis is possible by superimposing the chart over an iris image projection, allowing detailed observation of the valuable and reliable data recorded there.

Sometimes it is better not to know. However, prevention is better than cure. Now, we know how our health conditions like. His health is normal except that he is having stress at time. For me, well. No wonder, always been having irregular and mensus cramp as well as frequent headache. It is got something to do with my usus. The doctor advised me to drink lots of water, minimum of 1.3 litres, try to eat more fruits and vegetables. Yes, not forgetting, supplements. Since I am still young, I should take care of my health. It is like, you can spend all your money on things like bags, shoes etc but why not health products kan. Nanti dah sakit etc, baru nak cari ubat.

We watched Meet Dave, 1500 hours show at The Cathay. It was a short movie like an hour 15 mins gitu but we had good laugh together in the threatre.

Coincidentally, there was a private function held at The Cathay. I think it was like lauching of new Sutra magazine. Guess what, Awie was there.

We walked down to Suntec. Watched dance competition then proceeded to Marina Square to have our Pizza dinner. What else to eat... Not many food choice available in that shopping centre. Bought a pair of flat peep toe shoe from John Little at $19.90 only which I will wear to work. My working shoe minta ampun already haha!!

Before I end this entry, my colleagues and myself had a fun Friday.

We dressed down on that day

On a brighter note, I got my C902. He bought for me. :)
Upgraded my plan from iOne plus to iTwo plus with sms more features.

Hmm, I am not sure whether to change my number or not due to some matter. Really fickle on this. Any comments or opinions?

Edliana had an appointment check up for her baby but before that she decided to stop by the office (since she live around Pasir Ris)to give us a visit. Everyone was of course excited to meet up with her adorable son. He is so cute which makes me want to have my own baby... Hehe!!!

His name is so long that I can't remember.

Who else if not our faces.

Valli and me.
The guy behind me is his father.
I don't dare to carry newborn baby.
To me, the baby is still weak and fragile...
Abisla kan if ada own child macam mana?
Hmmm... tolak kat mak! Haha!

At last weekends are here. Hurray hurray!!

Singapore is now 43 years old. I have no plans to go out today. Watched the parade on tv. Somemore it was raining here the whole afternoon. Nice weather to relax at home after 5 days of working.

We celebrated National Day at work too. We wore red and white. We had some funs, like playing guessing games. Guess of national songs that we used to sing last time, fill in the missing lyrics, recite the pledge. Of course, the winner wins some chocolates. :)

Waiting for the event to start...

The 2 cheeky monkeys... Ooops!! Haha!!

Mixture of reds and whites

Congratulations to Edliana, one of my colleagues for giving birth to a baby boy in the morning at 0410 am today. It was a normal birth. The baby weigh at about 3.5, can you just imagine that? I am sure the baby looks cute... We thought want to visit her today at KK hospital but we have some pending work to clear off. So Jun and Zaki went on our behalf.

Enough of my heartache and sad love stories. If possible, I want to start afresh and forget about it. It is already a new month, August. I am really looking forward to it, another 26 more days... Haha!! Guess lah what day it is. Anyway, some updates on what I have missed to blog for the past 2 weeks.

1) 21 July 2008, Monday - As everyone knows, it was a Racial Harmony Day. You think only school kids celebrated this occassion. Oh well, we did celebrated too in the office. There were some quizzes, best dressed and photo taking sections... Of course there were prizes given out for the winners.

We were given a plate each that contained meruku, pineapple tarts and peanuts. Pardon the hangbao and little santa claus - extra items to spice up for photo taking only...

Colourful us
Only half of the department, there are more of us.

Insyallah when time comes, I will be wearing it. :)
Maya look like one of the actress in Ayat-ayat Cinta, Aishah because she wore Jubah. Lucky she did not wear shawl to cover, if not it will look exactly like her.

The green couple...
Of course not a couple for real.
Jey and Johanni Garcia - he is from the Philipines.

Dramatic us... haha!
My baju kurung was like years ago when I was in secondary school.
Amazing that I can stil fit in it.

Rani won the quiz and best dressed for her team.
That is our lady boss, Jo.

And this team won best dressed.

2) 26 to 27 July 2008, Saturday and Sunday - I wasn't in Singapore. Went to KL with family for a short trip holiday. Since my sister susah betul nak dapat kan cuti, 2 days pun dah bersyukur daripada tak ada langsung. Only her that always difficult to get the leave approved. Maybe because she is in different line.

Waiting for check in - Hotel Capitol

Our tired faces.
Us in our hotel room.

At Sungei Wang

Our hotel was in a good location. It was situated in the middle of the busy area in KL, Jalan Bukit Bintang. The only place we didn't go to is Petaling Street because we believe it surely packed and leceh.

There was a funny incident happened at Masjid India. We were browsing through hanging jackets at one of the shop. My sister and I could not make up our minds to buy or not to buy because to me there wasn't many choice to choose from in terms of colours lah.. Most of them were black, white and brown.

After sometimes of being indecisive, my mum told the guy, "Dik, jangan marah. Kita jalan-jalan dulu la, ok." Then we walked off. Kebetulan pulak, my sister was behind us, she heard the guy replied in soft voice, "Tak marah lah cik. Buat pe nak marah. Anak-anak cik cantik-cantik". I laughed when my sister told my mum and me. Sungguh perasan seh that guy.

I think next time if go to Malaysia, we have to bring guys along. The guys over there like so gatal. Dah banyak kali seh I kena. At Pulau Pinang that time, I was behind my dad went down the escalator suddenly a guy tapped on my shoulder. Then this time pulak at Masjid India, one guy ni purposely walked near me and . Aiya!

At last managed to snap a shot of my dad.
Macam orang muda kan... haha!

Us at Times Square
After breakfast in the hotel, we went to Times Square.
We checked out at 12 noon on Sunday.

The last stop before we continue our journey was at Beryl's Chocolate Kingdom. It was a chocolate factory. Macam-macam chocolate ada... Just name it!

With our new found friend... Baguuuussss!!!

3) 30 July 2008, Wednesday - It was his first off day. He fetched me from work. We went to Sakura, Northpoint to have our dinner. While we were on our way, he gave me a little surprised. He handed me a paper bag. I did not see him carrying anything except for his newspaper. Maybe he might had hidden the paper bag or cover it with the newspaper. Oh well. He did this because he wants a make up. He bought me a watch.

Mine is similar to the above picture but yellow in colour

There was a small card in the box. It was written as follows:

"I am sorry for the trouble I have caused. If you were to go I would be ever so lost. You will always be my one and only. Without you, I would be so very lonely. I love yu with all my heart, my dear."

I thanked him for the watch. I like it since it is my favourite colour. But I have told him not to get me gifts unnecessarily because I do not want to be label as materialistic girlfriend who wants to kikis his money. I just don't get why people are jealous of us being happy etc.

4) 01 August 2008, Friday - Fruits day on every Friday is back again. We used to have this last year in our office but we hold it back for sometimes as there was a change in the management in my department.

There is a schedule given to us and its a team work thing to promote a healthy lifestyle in our work.

So it was me and my partner turn that Friday. We did fruits salad and name it, Triple Crunch Apple Salad. Main fruits in this salad are apples.

As you can see...
Credits to us.

Feroz and Arvin
Busy scooping the salad into small bowls.

He is a great partner to work with.
Thanks Chong.

Then during lunch time, we celebrated my supervisor's birthday. Her birthday falls on 3 August (which is today). We ordered KFC and bought a small cake for her.

Happy Birthday to Jamie

That is why I am always busy to update.
Happy Sunday to all!

Does a heart not beat after it is taken out,
Does it not feel the cool breeze or
The endless summers,
Or a touch of another,
How do you mend a broken heart?

Do you turn it off like a light switch,
If it was a light switch,
Does it shine as bright or does it burn out immediately,
Does it complicate emotions,
Or does dull them out like a unsharpened knife,

I took a single emotion and amplified it,
I let it take control of me,
I just never knew the consequences,

If I could mend you heart I would,
If I can make things right let me,
If I could take all the pain away just let me,

Eyes lit with water, streaming down your cheeks,
How could I let this happen?
Why did I let the past haunt me?
You deserved better then that,
You deserved nothing but the best,

I took a friendship and ripped the heart out,
I took what was already delicate and ruffled it,
I never knew that emotion until I saw your eyes,
The pain was hard to bear,
I wanted to cry,

I can’t change the speed that we went,
I can’t change the hurt that was made,
I hope you let the wound heal,
I hope that you give me a fresh chance,
The chance to get to know you,
Which is all I really wanted,

I hope that we can put aside the uncomfortable situations,
I hope that we can be free of hurt,
I hope we can talk and laugh,
Be honest with each other to avoid complications.

I wonder why she always come to us when she is single and no friends? Somemore dare to say she knows him much longer and better than me. Do you know that you and him are only friends by name. I may be nice to you at times but for this I can't let you take advantage of me. Partly it is my fault too because I believe in people too easily. That is my weakness.

Sometimes it is hard to love someone
Because you are so afraid of losing them.
